This page explains how RadioDial uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar technology that keeps information in your browser without sending it to a server on every request.
What we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
rd_favs | Local storage | Your favourite stations | Until you clear it |
rd_last, rd_vol, rd_muted | Local storage | Last station played and volume | Until you clear it |
rd_consent | Local storage | Remembers your cookie choice | Until you clear it |
| Google advertising cookies | Third-party cookies | Serving and measuring ads; personalising ads if you agree | Up to 13 months |
The first group is strictly necessary for features you use and never leaves your browser. Advertising cookies are set by Google when ads are shown.
Your choices
- Use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page to change your choice between personalised and non-personalised ads.
- Manage personalised ads from Google at Google Ads Settings.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site keeps working without cookies, but your favourites will not be remembered if you also block local storage.
More detail is in our Privacy Policy.
